Veckans Shakespeare: "En midsommarnattsdröm"
En underbar avslutningsmonolog på en underbar pjäs är denna veckas Shakespeare. En av de första Shakespeare-monolgerna jag lärde mig på engelska. Jag brukar ju alltid lägga in ett klipp med texten också men denna gång var det svårt att hitta ett klipp med rätt monolog, om man inte vill ha en amatörtolkning då. Inte för att det är något som helst fel med det, men jag hade föredragit något med lite mer substans. Däremot lägger jag in ett klipp som är en trailer för en filmastisering av just "En midsommarnattsdröm" - gjord helt av barn! Mycket intressant tycker jag. Det är skojigt när Shakespeare får nya former.
PUCK:
If we shadows have offended,
think but this; and all is mended
that you have but slumbered here while these visions did appear
and this weak and idle theme
no more yielding but a dream.
Gentles--do not reprehend
if you pardon, we will mend.
And, as I am an honest Puck
if we have unearned luck.
Now to scape the serpents tongue.
We will make amends ere long
else the Puck a liar call.
So--goodnight unto you all.
Give me your hands if we be friends.
And Robin shall restore amends.
